People visit churches for different reasons. Perhaps you are searching for answers about God, looking for a church home, or maybe you are just in town visiting family. Whatever your reason, know that you are welcome to join us for worship anytime.
What to Expect on Sundays:
Worship Services: A high priority is placed on the vertical focus of our corporate worship services. The ultimate aim is to experience God so that He is glorified in our affections. God desires that we be white hot in our love for Him. Lukewarm indifference is contrary for those saved by the grace of God. We draw near to Him and believe that He draws near to us in power. He makes Himself known and felt for our good and for the salvation of non-believers in our midst. Worship aims at kindling and carrying deep, strong, real emotions toward God by appealing to clear thinking about spiritual things. In our services we strive to set an example of reverence, passion, and wonder.
Expository Preaching: We value expository preaching. This kind of preaching takes a particular text of Scripture as its subject and unpacks it word-by-word, verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, so that the meaning of the text is understood and applied. The main point of the text is the main point of the sermon. The goal of this kind of preaching is to explain the Scriptures so the Holy Spirit may use them to transform hearts and minds.
Music: The songs we sing, regardless of style, help our spirits leap toward God as our minds and hearts are moved by true lyrics about God and ourselves. We utilize the best of both historic and contemporary worship music.
Children: We consider it an immense benefit for families to worship together - as a families. What untold blessings might flow to children as they sit next to Dad and Mom and see their parents singing, praying, and studying their Bibles. You are welcome to keep your children with you during worship services. We also recognize that a fidgety child can be a challenge. So, during the 11:00 AM Worship Service we make available a Nursery (birth through 3 years) and Children’s Worship (4 years- 8years). Children who participate in Children’s Worship attend the Worship Service with their parents and are dismissed prior to the sermon.
Comfortable Dress: You will find that our members wear a variety of clothing – from casual to formal. Come how you feel comfortable. Loving God and loving people is our focus, not clothing.
Bible Study / Sunday School: Classes are offered for all ages. Check in at the guest welcome center and one of our hosts will be happy to help you locate the class that is right for you.
Financial Support and Giving: As our guest, please do not feel any obligation for financial giving. Our members and regular attenders joyfully and actively support our church financially.
