Missions

We believe that as a church we are to be active in God’s global purpose to take the good news of Jesus to all the people groups on this planet.  Jesus instructed his disciples to, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV).  Crestview is actively involved in missions by praying, sending, giving, and going.

Praying

Intercession for the unreached peoples of the world and those who will bring them the good news is a vital activity of our church.   Intercession for global missions is persistently practiced in Crestview’s gatherings.

Sending

We encourage and bless members of Crestview to step out in short-term, long-term, and career mission endeavors.  It is not easy for family members to leave their responsibilities here to participate in a mission trip.  As a church we strive to bear the burden and fill the gap created by a member’s absence in order to release them to go to the nations.

Giving

Crestview’s most significant mission giving goes to support the Cooperative Program (CP) of the Southern Baptist Convention.  Through the CP Crestview helps support over 5,500 international missionaries and over 5,600 missionaries in North America.

In addition to supporting the CP, we give to support local mission work in the Atlanta metro area as well as mission activities by our members.

Going

We believe that the mandate to go to the nations is one that is given to our Church.  We are not content to just pray and give . . . we are a going church.  Crestview mission teams have taken the gospel to Guatemala, Ukraine, and numerous locations within North America.
